The instructor will be responsible for delivery of information provided in lesson plans including lecture and demonstration through hands-on techniques and clinical lab experiences.

Duties/Functions:

  • Develop learner-centered lesson plans
  • Employ teaching strategies and use instructional materials for a variety of learning styles
  • Incorporate current technology in the classroom, distance learning, and laboratory environments
  • Create and model a quality learning environment that supports a diverse student population
  • Prepare, distribute, and utilize instructional support materials including syllabi, instructional media, supplementary materials, and other devices as appropriate
  • Update and revise curriculum to maintain compliance with accreditation standards
  • Participate in the development and review of course and program/general education outcomes as appropriate
  • Develop, conduct, and document appropriate assessments of student learning outcomes in courses and programs as appropriate

 

Administrative:

  • Maintain classroom and laboratory spaces including upkeep of assigned equipment
  • Provide for the security of facilities, equipment, and instructional materials while working to maintain safe working conditions
  • Maintain student records (grades & attendance) in accordance with established deadlines using a variety of technology-based programs (Moodle)
  • Comply with all applicable college, state, and federal rules and regulations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Applicants must have at least 2 years of hands-on, real-world work experience in the field for which they are applying.

Prior teaching experience is desirable but not required. The ideal candidate must be friendly, customer-service oriented, flexible, and conscientious. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to the school's mission and goals and possess an inclusive teaching philosophy.
